OMHEC

OMHEC (Offshore Mechanical Handling Equipment Committee) is an international working group responsible for improving the safety of offshore lifting operations and equipment. One of its main tasks is the preparation of common guidelines for the health and safety of personnel engaged in crane and lifting operations.

OMHEC consists of representatives from the four North Sea countries: Denmark, UK, Netherlands and Norway. Scandinavian Operator Service's founder and owner, Lasse Welle, is one of Denmark's four representatives in OMHEC.
